The Inaccessible, 2012
I pointed the camera out of the car window for the duration of 60 kilometer journey. I held the shutter down so the camera would take a picture every 2-3 seconds. I didn’t take further part in the photographic act. I wanted the images to be as alien as possible. Being the spectator of my own work I made a linear selection of 60 images out of 1500 to depict my journey.
The inaccessible is a tangible destination which is impossible to reach and experience. What is left is a stagnant state of mind in continuous motion and the expectation towards the next horizon.
